FAQ
With a lease you pay a monthly fee on a 12-month or a 24-month term (the 24-month term costs less each month). With a buyout you pay once and own the website outright: 18 times the monthly price on the 12-month term, or 30 times the monthly price on the 24-month term. Every package is available both ways, and you can see the prices on each package card.
Our first five paying clients get about half price on the monthly rate in return for a testimonial, permission to show their project as a case study, and early feedback. The founding rate stays locked for the term you choose (12 or 24 months) while the account stays active.
Fill in the blueprint form at the bottom of this page. It asks about your business, the feel you want, the pages you need, your colors and a package. Once you send it, we come back to you with a proposal.
A buyout is paid in two parts: 50% as a deposit to start, and 50% when you approve the staging site, before your website goes live on your domain.
As a guide: a Digital Flagship site takes about 1 to 2 weeks, and Signature Brand about 3 to 6 weeks, counted from your go-ahead once we have your text and photos. Bespoke Suite projects get their own timeline in the proposal.
With a lease, hosting, updates and small changes are included for as long as the lease is active, and after the term it continues month to month. With a buyout, we fix any problems for 90 days after launch; after that you can add a care plan (Care Basic, Care Plus or Care Pro, priced by package: see Care plans above the FAQ).
Your domain and your content are always yours. We buy or register your domain in your own name and never ask for your registrar password. The text, photos and logo you give us stay yours. If you lease, we keep ownership of the design, code and tools and you are licensed to use them while the lease runs. If you buy outright, ownership of the finished design and the content we made for you passes to you once you have paid in full, and we hand over the website files and code as delivered, your content and the logins for your domain. Services that run the website, such as hosting or email, are separate and stay with whoever pays for them.
You can cancel a lease with one month's written notice (an early-exit fee applies if you leave before your 12 or 24 months are up, as set out in your agreement). When a lease ends, we take the website down within a set number of days and, on request, send you a copy of your own content. If you bought your website, nothing needs to come down: it is yours, and we can keep looking after it with a care plan or hand it to someone else.
Yes. You can cancel before your 12 or 24 months are up by giving one month's written notice and paying an early-exit fee, which is set out in your agreement.
A care plan looks after a website you own (after a buyout) month to month, with 30 days' notice and no early-exit fee. Care Basic keeps the site hosted, updated and checked with email support. Care Plus adds a round of changes every month and a short monthly check-in. Care Pro adds three rounds of changes, priority support and a review every three months. The price depends on your package; we will quote it in your agreement.
We are not VAT registered at the moment, so no VAT is added to our prices. If that changes, we will tell you in writing before it affects any invoice.
Custom work is scoped and quoted per project. Describe what you are after in the last step of the blueprint form and we will quote it separately.
